I can't say I've head of Zucker and his name hasn't made it across the Transatlantic gulf yet, though we don't get every facet of US politics and when we do get it, it tends to skew to the political top and the entertainment left.

It's fine to disagree, healthy in fact and people should disagree more often. Whoopi seemed to take the US position that you're taking, racism and ethnicity are interlinked and talk from there. Jewish populations around the world have become ethnically mixed and many would be considered 'white' - a meaningless phrase covering everything from snow-white ginger Celts to the olive coloured meditteraneans.

I'm not convinced Goldbergs aim was to minimise the Holocaust, though she may have done by not thinking it through before she spoke.... though such an action and its consequences speak more about the wider society than it does about any individual person within it.
