I didn't evade the issue of his anti-semitism - the answer is that I didn't really know and it isn't really well documented. He was placed out in China because he was a business Nazi and when he returned from there, he was largely sidelined. I suspect he was quite anti-semitic as that was the Nazi way, but he was outside of Germany for much of the gradual frog-boil towards the Final Solution - and his actions after his return from China were largely sidelined by the Gestapo, he was seen as a bit of a liability for not supporting the Japanese as they were a German ally. I suspect there were plenty of questions - there often are when people move from ideological simplicity to real life complexity.

And yes, the Jewish folks have had it pretty rough for the last 1000 years or so, hated by both of their Abrahamic cultural offspring. Yes, the Palestinians are very short of friends and I don't think the Talibanisation of their culture is helping that much, I feel very sorry for them as it seems the political left is going to help slide the place into a sort of ISIS by the backdoor - and then these young lefties are going to be wondering why there aren't any women's rights, all the gays got executed and that peace was never on the table at all.

The Krays were not much fun. I say that as a working class lefty :o/
