I disagree. I think a better analogy is Peron and Peronism.. Hitler’s anti-Semitic views were baked in at source, he hated the Jews before power. Trump is an opportunistic demagogue with no real vision. Hitler was expansionist and genocidal with a focus on military, Trump is an isolationist with a business background rather than a military one. Hitler didnt also get voted out for four years after becoming chancellor. Let’s remember he was Hitler back then too.

There may be similarities in how the checks and balances are being removed, but that doesn’t automatically make someone Hitler and the left have to be very careful they don’t come across as raging fruit loops at every turn.

My biggest concern is that Trump is Ernst Rohm. If that’s the case, you’re absolutely fucked because your comparable Hitler figure is under the radar.
