I disagree. Anthony Scaramucci was wrong, we never had to pay attention to his tweets in the first place - and I think most sensible moderates have moved away from Twitter.
The reason I disagree is that any punitive attempt to silence Trump can be used by Trump to rile his core base. He should be allowed to exercise the full weight of his opinion and the full weight of his legal challenges - and he should be politely listened to by people whose approach is.... "We have listened but no and here's why"
Anything other than this, including left wing articles attacking Trump in a mixture of policy and peronal ways plays into his strategy. You repudiate him for his policies and then take the moral high ground. More inflamatory positions simply fuel the 'Us vs Them' binary thinking that causes evangelism on both sides - it is this, not Trump, that is destablising democracy.
Look at people like Dr Fauci as exemplar of how to treat Trump. Whatever his personal feelings about Trump might be, he sticks to his mandate and simply stays on solid ground.
