I disagree. Many of the points being raised here are interesting and the links offer some additional insight, particularly the one under 'excluding and isolating' which puts the whole thing into a larger geopolitical framework.
There are strong arguments to suggest the West is partially responsible for the antecedents to this war. They share no blame for what has transpired since war was declared but there have been plenty of people who have suggested this was an inevitable outcome of twenty years of missed chances and terrible decisions by both the West and Putin. Nothing good can come from this.
I have a soft spot for those people saying unpopular things when the prevailing thoughts are blowing the other way - this author has done just that. Perhaps this is the wrong time to read such a thing, particularly for Ukrainians like yourself - emotions are still understandably high but, putting emotion aside for a second, the writer makes some valid (albeit unpopular) points which need further consideration in the fullness of time.
