I disagree, Sugar Baby is moving feminism forward. How can it not be? It's an active choice made by women who don't want to get married but also don't want to work. 200 years ago being a Sugar Baby was pretty much synonymous with marriage. Now at least it's an opt in system. You cannot on the one hand declare that women are free to make choices but then offer condemnation if they don't make the choices that you'd make. That's a form of feminism that is basically patriarchy with a vagina.

I have no real concerns about an empowered young (usually white) woman who wants to boost her relatively high income via sexual transaction. As long as she fully understands the implications of doing so. Adults can do as they please. That's what liberalism is all about.

I care more about the prevalence of child brides in some corners of the world. So, yes although this article isn't about 'those countries' it is about feminism and that's about all women not just the young white and western ones. This does count as 'whataboutism', but western-centric feminism has definitely taken its eye off global issues and picked some odd hills to die on. Including Sugar Baby mountain.
