I do think there's a parallel here - but you're right, it's not an equal parallel. At the end of this article I had a line about them both being the symptom of the problem, but I likened her to a mild skin rash and him to a brain aneurism. I felt it was too glib and so I took it out - but I stand by the assertion there is a parallel between the two positions.

Tate has aggressively monetised his brand of buddhist-cum-capitalism-fuckery and in the man-o-sphere he seems to be a high profile douchebag. There is no female equivalent - or nobody as notably misandrist but they do exist and reading on thepinkpill.co was an eye opening experience.

As I've said, there seems to be more of a collective malaise generated by writers who aren't as outspoken about their views, but whose views are tinged with little hope of conciliation. Perhaps what I'm suggesting is there's a difference between aggressive and passive-aggressive. This plays out on the micro-level and could be a larger pattern replayed on the macro level too.
