I don't agree with Amy Coney Barrett on anything at all - but that's the rub. You cannot simultaneously argue for women to be elevated to positions of power - then argue that it's the wrong kind of woman. That's having your ideological cake and eating it.

If the liberal feminist agenda was so self evidently superior in all ways, then Amy Coney Barrett would simply not exist to be elected into a position of power. It isn't a swimsuit contest, she is a respected judge and professor with clearly held views. The fact that you and I disagree with them is neither here nor there.

'Trump nominating a woman to the court means very little for women as a whole' isn't true - it means very little for women who share your world view. That's a different thing. There are plenty of women the other side of societal divide who will consider Amy Coney Barrett an excellent choice. The idea that all women agree with you is one that stems from writing for too long into an unending echo chamber and one that you need to address.

Valid arguments against electing anyone at this particular juncture come with the precident set in the final year of Obama's tenure. That's rank hypocrisy in it's truest form and that is what needs to be challenged.
