I don't think it's blindness to what has happened. I have also looked at what happened and made a private judgement. I'm just not qualified to make an assertion about innocence or guilt and I think in the modern age we're conflating out private opinions (sense of justice) with legal process (when someone qualified and in the correct democratic position declares a change in status). I privately think many things about Mr Trump's conduct, but those are my private thoughts and I think it is unwise to share them in a febrile environment when other people think those on the left are determined to bring about justice by subverting process.
With regards revenge.... I think this is being overblown by the right and the left. I think there's a fundamental showmanship to Trump which appeals to his base and repels his detractors - but those within his base are less inclined to take him seriously. As an example, he banged on about Clinton for a long time in the run up to 2016, she was going to jail, she was crooked. Once in power he broadly ignored her - I think he often talks in hyperbolic terms but fails to act on it. For that reason, I can see why Biden might've hedged in favour of letting his son out of jail but I don't think it was the honourable thing to do.
