I don't think people are ignorant for believing the Beatles are overrated, quite the opposite. They're likely more informed than I am and understand the music on a level I don't.

If it helps rebalance the scales, I think Cat Stevens is one of the best musicians of the 20th Century. I watched him do Glastonbury (on the TV) last year - and he sounds exactly the same, which is more than can be said for Axl Rose.

I'm sure one day I'll get the Beatles if I'm meant to. The significant other penguin is a big fan and is off to see Paul McCartney in the 02 in December. I've got more hope of getting the Beatles than I do of Taylor Swift, I don't really know what I'm missing when others talk about the Lennon McCartney genius, I know what I'm missing when people talk about Taylor Swift. Capitalism and good PR. :o)
