I don’t think Schumer is going to fly either - my analogy is him calling the shots like a quarterback and working out which of the younger candidates can catch the ball of the presidency best. I reckon probably Newsom but it’s going to take a concerted effort to get the field cleared of Harris and to get everyone running the right way and on message - including Biden, the Dem Grandees and the meddling progressives. Harris might step aside if she’s promised a Supreme Court nomination but it’s time to demonstrate collective maturity in the face of an impending orange tsunami.
