I don’t think so. I think you might feel differently if the urchling was an urchlad about the way society talked about him. It would’ve been an interesting counterfactual history to explore and many of the women kicking back at feminism are mothers of wholesome teen boys.

You seem to have valid reasons why you believe men are awful and to be honest a lot of men are… but you’re also smart and a feminist, so you know absolutes are rarely valid. You engage with me (even though you firmly believe I am a man)- which is more than many outspoken feminists can handle. I suspect having an urchling has exacerbated your distrust of the penis horde. I hope you haven’t inadvertently Havishamed her and instead given her a prudent wariness applicable in all situations. :o)
