I don’t Twitter. I don’t care about Twitter. I do care about social networks taking a political position of any sort - so I’m fine with this Bond Villain buying Twitter and opening it up to everyone.

Medium had this problem a year ago, it had become a shining bastion of what left wing journalists could do if heavily monetised and didn’t engage in discussion. They all went in the bin last April, we no longer got GEN’d to death by Valenti…. And the place hasn’t descended into right wing Nazi chaos since then. Twitter might do, but it’ll be no great loss for the world.

‘Hold the centre’ will be the necessary rallying call of our generation.
