I don't understand the point you're trying to make: so I'll clarify my position.
Hamas as an organisation was elected to be the Government of Palestine and immediately clamped down on elections. That was in 2006. Since the civil war in Palestine they have continued to be the defacto Government and at odds with the PLO. They launched a campaign on the 7th October that was designed to terrorise the Israeli population. That single incursion included incidents of murder, rape and kidnap committed on civilian populations (as well as some soldiers). I do not think there is any point in debating how many murders, how many rapes or how many kidnappings there were - because I think there is sufficient evidence they exist and they are acts of terror.
Israel then responded militarily... in defence of the nation state by saying Hamas needed to be removed from power. This isn't unprecedented and is a legal war. Such a thing happened with ISIS and involved largely westernised powers intervening militarily under an asymmetrical war, and largely with the Casus belli of the London Bridge attacks here in the UK, and the Bataclan massacre in Paris. The subsequent war was one sided and arguably necessary, but it was also constrained by the UN (Article 51 of the UN Charter is the defence). Israel have moved beyond what is acceptable in the geneva convention and other articles of war.
Israel continues to go beyond the bounds of legal acceptability in their retaliation because of a hawkish right wing government under Netanyahu, they are killing civilians at an alarming rate for a country who says they are trying to preserve life. The Government there is paying the price. Most UN nations, including Britain is (rightly) calling for a cease fire and immediate aid, but Israel continues to push because its military aim is the release of all hostages. Hamas doesn't want to do that - and the leaders of Hamas don't want that to happen, largely because they are millionaires based in Qatar and have a vested interesting in escalating the tensions between Israel and other Arab nations. Hamas doesn't care all that much for its own population and I think there's some truth to the notion of human-shields by where they place their military, I think there's enough evidence to support this assertion. Hamas needs to be removed, but it was a job that required a small screwdriver and the Israeli's have used a sledgehammer.
The UN and the ICC needs to step up and sanction Israel and call them out - the ICC has done so, but there will be significant international backlash in home-rule in election years if this happens.... particularly in the US and UK. Most of the population is unable to deal with the sheer complexity of this situation and has made a snap judgement call based entirely on shit they've seen on TikTok. This isn't an 'either/or' debate about finding the goodies and baddies as I've documented here.
