I have found that the sort of people who prioritise this sort of thing routinely find each other and marinade in their combined insecurities. They are a nightmare to be around, constantly insecure about each other’s faithfulness and intentions before they spectacularly implode as a couple.

Men and women who are balanced and psychologically healthy take into account each other’s physical, mental and personality attributes and make a choice based on overall attractiveness. Those couples tend to stay together for longer, are fun to be around as a couple and (more importantly) as individuals.

Broken people find each other, and sometimes they’re both pretty on the outside.
