I have generally found you to be right about most things, apart from when you disagree with me - then you're clearly wrong. This is a great article and I love arguing into a stalemate to really pick apart what people actually think. You and I disagree on some particular issues in a very Kirk-Spock sort of way. I tend to argue for things in the abstract, you tend to argue things that are close to your heart with passion and vehemence. You'd be the more popular relatable character in a TV show but Eichy and Penguin overall would do great in the ratings. I enjoy arguing with you and sometimes you are right.

When it comes to marriage - I'm of the opinion that it's historically been used as a tool of oppression against women and around the world maintains some of that function. I think we'd better off moving past it entirely and into something new and open - but I'm in the minority on this. It seems to be a source of unbridled joy for everyone else. There was no conflict about letting gay people marry each other - I just couldn't get my head round why anyone would ever want to.
