I have no doubt that’s true… and I think the answer is for the democrats to move to the economic left via Bernie et Al than continuing to make the ‘you’re all racist’ argument from the progressive faux-liberal position. Alas, Americans seem afraid of the word socialism, so it should be packaged as ‘wage increases’ and ‘free childcare’ and ‘better hospital funding’. Things which might make the floating Republican working class vote move left…. That isn’t really where the dlalogue centres itself tho, and so I think the US is going red because the left is too fractured to solve the issues it has.
