I have no time for either of them - my problem isn’t with her strong independence and fiery attitude - I think that’s a great trait and we should have more than that…. The issue is one of outright hypocrisy at every turn.
She and he knew exactly what life would be like - decided to marry anyway. They were the golden couple, briefly the awesome foursome…. But it was only after taxpayers funded the refurbishment of Frogmore cottage they began to realise it might not work for them….
And since that point everything they have done has been a masterclass in self-indulgent narcissism. Not her. Them. From lecturing everyone about climate change from their private jet, to insisting they want privacy but doing books, interviews and Netflix deals. It’s not that she’s outspoken and independent that’s the issue, it’s that she’s one half of a spoiled codependent set of privileged idiots desperate to play power games.
There are plenty of women who are outspoken and who lack the ego and chaotic bullshit Ginge and the Whinge put out into the world. We should focus attention on those people…. Ursula Von Der Leyen, Angela Merkel, Shonda Rhimes, Christine Legarde, Kamala Harris, hell I would even put Serena Williams and Amy Coney-Barrett on this list.
The reason we don’t get to hear about strong minded successful women like these as often as we’re hearing about this posing power couple is that they’re forever in the limelight. A pathological need to be watched and relevant, alongside a continuing stated need for privacy and to be left alone. Those two things are incompatible but they just can’t help themselves. That’s what we don’t like. It isn’t about her. It’s about her and her husbands hypocrisy.
