I have the opposite problem — as a screenwriter, I have to watch Netflix regularly to be able to talk to production companies about the latest TV trends. The first question you’re always asked is ‘so what are you watching at the moment’. Sadly my brain also sees it as wasting time for many of reasons you’ve outlined and so I have to force myself to watch Netflix and schedule it into my diary.

I reckon not watching as much Netflix as I should is currently costing me about £12,000 a year :’(
