I haven't done a deep dive on Jung for a long time - the shadow self is such a fascinating part of human Psychology that sort of flies under the radar for being a bit woo-woo and well... Jungian. I love it as a theory and I think it makes perfect sense. Capitalism and in particular consumerism and it's unhealthy relationship to the 'achievement unlocked' dopaminergic system really need to be explored much further. I don't think social media is helpful for children, I don't think consumerism is helpful for children and I think the suicide rate is reflecting that. Children aren't integrating themselves into fully realised human beings - they're swallowing their rage and virtue signalling or attempting to buy their way out of psychological distress. It'll come crashing down soon - the shadow will out - and it seems to have outed quite clearly at this concert.

Keep at the writing - I'm loving this article and I hope it gets distributed widely. :o)
