I knew, even as I scheduled this one that I was going to be in trouble... I just haven't got the energy for social media fads. I'm old. I'm cranky.

I don't think I'm siding with men's feelings, I'm siding with 'this is not the way these discussions need to be had'. Which I suppose you could argue is siding with the feelings of men - but also, I think is just a general note about overall discourse across the board. I don't think the sort of men who need this argument internalised will read it - and the hyperbolic placement of the argument plays into the hands of people who would subvert it.

I'd likely make the same argument across the whole strata of person of X type should fear person of Y type - but if I've missed the point and the argument is awesome in ways I cannot comprehend then you always have the pushback rights - you know I love a bit of debate here and there. :o)
