I listen to The Rest Is Politics and although there is some homogeny between the two hosts, I actually enjoy the nuanced centre ground and tightrope they have to walk on issues like monarchy and the Iraq War.

I don't mind it being a dad-cast, though I think it would benefit from having a third female host, though not sure who would fit the bill to join the two of them - and I think the Guardian are just a little bitter they cannot get the audiences share. I don't mind The Guardian and will read it from time to time, but they're so often caught up in the nonsense of identity politics that their insights are often limited - I'd rather have two knowledgable people in a Venn diagram of political belief talking about what they know to be true. That said, I have no desire to ever listen to anything George Osborne has to say, or Ed Balls for that matter. The Rest is Politics have carved out a good niche and consistently produce great quality. Right people, right time, right format. :o)
