I presume Broadbeach is the equivalent of Shoreditch. Catherine Tate did an excellent character who used to shout 'Don't look at me!' and 'I'm shy!' as she did outrageous things. I have always found people who go big on their clothing choices to be like this. If you've got to wear outrageous things, you're probably over compensating for a lack of personality.

I'm a liberal, you can wear what you like in whatever space you want - but don't expect me to engage with your random splashy peacocking.
