I remain unconvinced, I don't think democracy knows how to deal with demagoguery yet - of either flavour. The Labour Party have just put Corbyn on the outside pissing in and the Tories might do the same. If you look at the metric of success being 'achieving your stated political aims' then the most successful politician in our lifetime is actually Nigel Farrage. He didn't do his political work in the House of Commons, but outside - it was his pressure that forced Cameron's hand. I wouldn't be surprised to see Johnson and Farrage teaming up outside of the HOC and creating a new party with undue political influence seeking to blame all the current social, economic and political woes on their absence, rather than themselves. I also think it would probably work.
