I sort of agree - but not entirely. Whilst war might be considered a universal bad thing, there’s an argument that on the macro level it boosts and speeds up technological advances in things like transport, medicine and communications - all of which are then implemented in peace.

Following this line of thought leads you to some interesting thoughts. If we presume, for example, that patriarchy is bad because it encourages direct competition, capitalism and warfare - this would be a net negative in the short term but have a net positive when viewed objectively. I’m not making the case for patriarchy btw, I’m saying there are complications depending on the type of lens and length of study. :o)
