I suspect that is the case - there are some very unpleasant men in the world and they provide a disproportionate amount of misery - but that is also true of women. Though it presents somewhat differently between the sexes.

I don't think women are delusional, exaggerating or asking for it - but I do think feminism has taken some bum steers in the last decade or so. Bros before hos as an attitude is just as toxic regardless of whether it is exhibited by men or women - because it draws attention away from the individual specific nuances of human interactions. Every human being is insanely complicated, every interaction between two of them is also by it's nature that complexity squared.

The answer to your question is in the question itself. "The number is on OUR side" - what side? People do get strident and vociferous when they aren't believed - but that is also true of the men who argue 'this isn't me' and are repeatedly told it is. Those men will move gradually into places where they are listened to - and those places (particularly for young men) aren't safe places to take advice.

The answer is, in my opinion, and always has been - to take a pragmatic and genderless approach to the problem which doesn't play into 'our side' and 'your side' mentality. If enough moderates prevail, we may solve the problems both sexes face without it turning into a penis-vs-vagina fest.

The world needs fewer menagogues and femagogues.
