I think advanced alien civilisations are entitled to eat humans if they want... perhaps they already are. Perhaps they eat souls and life is simply a gentle frying process that helps give experiential flavour to souls. Maybe infant mortality is simply a case of someone ordering a 'rare' soul, those people who live to 122 are just the result of the unadventurous alien who likes their soul 'well done'.

This is why I'm not allowed to religion (and yes it's a verb)
