I think everyone on the left believes the window is moving right, because the loudest voices on the left insist it is so. The same is true for those on the right. I think the window is pretty static, without the shouting and push-pull rhetoric, I think society generally drifts liberal(ish) with each subsequent generation.

People need to listen to the moderates on the other side, rather than the extremists on their own side. There are some valid points across the spectrum that need addressing and they aren’t getting a lot of airtime.
