I think faux liberalism will undo much of the goodwill that moderates have towards different minority groups, particularly if the demands of those groups are confusing and contradictory - or backed up with the threat of social ostracism. There will be a backlash and I think this may have already started, for progress to happen there has to be a gradual push towards engagement and education of moderates. That isn't happening - and it's a shame, James writes very eloquently on a lot of issues, but this time he was way off the mark.
