I think if you re-read that section again, it'll hopefully be clear that I'm paraphrasing and hyperbolising the views of others in order to make a point about the ridiculousness of their position. So, in answer to your question, no I'm not. Whilst I don't agree with JK Rowling on some of the things she says, that has nothing to do with her sex or her age. The rest of the article outlines why I think she shouldn't have dabbled in identity politics in the first place. It was stupid, but again that's nothing to do with her sex or her age.

Since I wrote this article, she has signed the Harper letter, something I believe to be a carefully measured response to the cancel culture that has engulfed much of modern discourse. JK Rowling, like most other human beings has both flaws and strengths, but unlike other human beings is held to an exacting standard of purity that is ultimately unfair.
