I think it’s still true. I’d say there are 20% hardcore pro-lifers, 20% pro-choice activists and the remaining 60% are either pro-choice by default, don’t care enough about the matter to support either side or float depending on the argument. I don’t think there’s an equal division, but there is a strong one. Over here in the U.K., we do have anti-abortion activists, but they represent a tiny tiny minority of people and the rest of us take quick legal action to ensure they can’t make too much of a nuisance of themselves at family planning centres. We aren’t ideologically divided in a way that threatens our legal system.
