I think perhaps the most worrying thing here is the small number of females who have commented on this article. It mirrors the often small number of men who comment on articles making the opposite point.

That isn’t a critique of the writer, it’s a critique of the algorithm. It continues to serve up each side of the discussion to the respective half of the audience who wants to read it (plus a few folks who read widely). The difference is perhaps that the other side is more endorsed by the curation or boost team.

For penguins with no gender to speak of, the worrying thing isn’t in the messages. The lack of discussion around male loneliness is more worrying than either side of the argument seems to realise.
