I think there's definitely the makings of a play there and you've given me some history to research. I struggle with how awful humans are to other humans and how easily we are hijacked towards dehumanisation (ironic given I am a Penguin). I think there are stories to be told in there but I imagine the backlash of the wrong person telling such a story would be pronounced. I think there have been variations of it touched upon, usually via aliens coming to earth and kidnapping groups of people... but you're right, there isn't anyone writing this stuff. I wish Medium had a book mark feature so I could come back to this. I'll have to remember where it is.

On an aside note. I'm not sure I even like the concept of animal zoos.... but I appreciate the conservation work. If pushed philosophically, I'm not entirely sure about pets... I dislike the ownership of one sentient creature over another. I have complex thoughts.
