I think this depends on how you define the word ‘system’ and what constitutes a given system. In the example you’ve given (the divorce courts) there is a systemic bias against men. This may not be a result of overt misandry but if we consider this as a closed system what other explanation can there be?

Men are routinely viewed as dangerous, absent or incompetent by many social workers during child protection work – a bias that has a direct impact on children when their fathers and step fathers are overlooked or diminished as a significant protective factor by a predominantly female workforce. That bias is likely to become more pronounced over the next decade or so given the state of the discourse.
