I think this is a reasonable position, but I also think you should let people raise their views in the comments section. I’d much rather have peoples views where I can see them and have never understood the desire to hide comments away. Challenging people to change their thinking involves knowing what they think.

And I think your piece stops short of where the narrative needs to be. You’ve identified anti-semitism and anti-blackness as reprehensible but it is the anti-Xgroup which is problematic. Generalisations about entire subsections of community, this happens across the political spectrum and it happens here on Medium a great deal too. Whether that’s middle-aged white women, young black men, trans or cis people. Whenever we start with generalisations we begin the process of dehumanising others.
