I think this is one area in which equality will not necessarily be welcomed. I think the reasons you've suggested highlight some of the differences between sadistic male psychopaths and the lesser-sadistic form of female psychopaths.... there is perhaps another explanation. Female murderers tend to disproportionately use poison above acts of violence.
Letby's issue wasn't that she was murdering babies, if she had done this at a rate of one-or-two per year then she would never have been caught, her issue was that she became addicted to it and was caught by the sheer improbability of the maths.
The more chilling thought is that female psychopaths are just as sadistic as their male counterparts - they're just far harder to spot due to their socialisation skills and far harder to catch in the act because the act is neither obvious nor shockingly violent. I suspect there are many more psychopaths than we are aware of and some of them will target men. It'll make for an interesting change in dynamics as you've said.
I could potentially make the case perhaps this is already happening but we have yet to be able to differentiate natural deaths from unnatural deaths because we aren't statistically able to point at a pattern in quite the same way we were with Letby.. Perhaps there's a reason men disproportionately suffer heart attacks.... and perhaps that reason is arsenic.
Interesting thoughts. :o)
