I think those of us working in the creative arts are going to have to get used to AI. I use it as a tool. Yesterday I got it to list 50 out of copyright books which would make good adaptations for youth theatre plays - it saved me about 3 weeks of work and research.

But AI should be a tool towards an end, it shouldn't be the end in itself. I'm not mad at AI, anymore than I could be mad at the internet for existing, or mad at the development of the calculator.

I'm mad someone has come to the front of a classroom full of people who can do complex sums in their head, and been praised by the teacher, and held up as an example to the rest of us, when all they've done is pressed a few buttons on a calculator and got a lot of friends.
