I think we are both the hero and the beast... I know you don't like Peterson, but he's got some interesting things to say about stories - and as a playwright, that's entirely my jam. The beast is always there, in the collective unconscious, but the hero is always there too - and I think it's the quest to understand yourself and that you are both that prevents the beast from emerging en masse. In short, I think Jung was onto something - and it's this something that keeps creative writers and theatre alive.
