I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one; but it has been a fun and useful discussion. You're right, Schitt's Creek never claimed to be a shining example of how the world can be - and perhaps it's my fervant wish that those who espouse liberal politics (as Dan Levy does) also acknowledge when they benefit from 'right wing', ie top down power systems. I have found many modern liberals to be quick to hand out intolerant social justice dictats like a weapon, but refuse to acknowledge their complicity in the problem they puport to solve.

I hope anyone reading our back and forth finds something useful in it. It's been nice to have a discussion that hasn't descended into name calling and sarcasm. Having just read one of your articles, I think you're a damn good writer with some strong insights. Please continue to hold me to account when you disagree with me - pleasant debate is a pleasure denied to many, and outside of the skill of many on Medium. Thanks for a great chat, let's both put on some Schitt's Creek (the Cabaret episode if I'm choosing) and enjoy the rest of our day :o)
