I think we’re still discussing the bombing of HBCU’s because the US formed a society in which a cultural and literal apartheid was allowed to develop. We don’t have that here in the U.K.

When you say ‘pick a side’ you’re talking specifically about a binary which doesn’t exist - the only people interested in creating a race war are bigots on either side. Those people in the centre ground aren’t evil and ignorant, we just know what happens when ideologues get control of the apparatus of government. That was the learning of the 20th century.

You can call it nonsense if you wish, but I will happily slap down bigotry on every side of the ideological divide. Things will only get better if we stop giving them the microphones. That’s true of Bannon undoubtedly, but there are plenty on both sides.
