I think you’d very much enjoy his darker plays; Hangman is great, as is pillow-man. He got started in theatre and you can see it in his film work… In Bruges is basically a play but filmed, excellent character study. I think you’d like his dark humour and neat turn of phrase.

The writing industry is a mess, full of classism, talentlessness and nepotism at every level. All whilst masquerading as the epitome of liberal meritocracy. Don’t be lost too long, you’re too good and bold distinctive voices is what theatre and TV should be about. :o)
