I think you're having your argument cake and eating it too here. There's a tendency within certain circles to blame everything on the Patriarchy as a sort of catch-all boogeyman for everything... but that may come unstuck when we begin to look at Fifty Shades of Grey and its terrible precursor - Twilight. Ostensibly books written by women, for women. If the goal of feminism is empowerment of female voices, particularly in the mainstream and creative arts - we can't then dial back and label what we disagree with as 'patriarchy' - because it's off-brand for where we wanted the discourse to go.
