I think you're right and I love that last phrase. You're not going to get people to the out the bathwater by pretending there's no baby... and that's it in a nutshell. The rest of it is about time and how much effort you're willing to put in.

And with some people that's a fair bit, I'll put a lot of time in for Jeanette Espinoza that I possibly wouldn't put in for Kay Valley. They both seem to have been hit by an ideological bus, but Jeannette and I are able to find common ground in our disagreement that Kay and I struggle to reach. It's interesting to ponder what the difference is....I think it may be down to being able to discern what the other is doing right as well as wrong.

I don't know how many people I've persuaded to step away from what I'd consider a 'maladaptive ideology' over my time here. Not many I shouldn't think - but I don't think I write to persuade. I think i write to amuse and dissent. I leave all the proper arguing for folks like yourself who can throw around words like tautology with reckless abandon.

And I've given Andrea a follow - that was an excellent article, thanks for the heads up. :o)
