Jk, I’d rather have a decent conservative with an economic theory I disagree with over a mountain of idiots shouting things other leftists agree with. Medium endorses the preach to the choir model far too much and it’s one (of many) of the reasons I can’t/won’t build a huge audience here.

I have also never been reported or warned in the four years I’m here. Over here in the U.K we have perfected an extreme form of politeness - one that heavily skirts calling someone a terrible name, but stops short or hides it behind jokes and words.

I rarely strike first, but when I do strike back - it’s usually creatively. This means when someone runs off to tell the powers that be that a Penguin was rude to them, they have to demonstrate context - and within that context are often buried the demonstrable seeds of their assholery.

I block and mute very few people, I think I’ve done it twice now. People have to be absolutely batshit before they get thrown out, and I’m always prepared to let people remonstrate with me if they wish. Even the idiots. Especially the idiots.
