I try and reply in line with the effort of the comment they left me. If they've taken time to leave a thoughtful comment, I try and reply. If it's more along the lines of 'I think you suck' or 'this artice was great' - then I often skip replying. As I've gone north of 2K followers though, it's becoming a little unmanagable at times.
