I try my best not to misgender anyone - because I consider it a courteous thing to do. If I do accidentally misgender someone because of the ever changing rules then that's something we can deal with on an interpersonal level. It would probably be an apology on my part.... unless of course, the person went onto a rant about fundamental human equality and told me to go fuck myself - at which point the Penguin gloves would come off and I'd give as good as I get.

Woke people can absolutely do their best to insult me, shame me, point out my failures and do this all they want... but this comes with an observation that I'm a centre ground moderate. If you think I'm the face of oppressive evil then, in the nicest possible way, your community has an issue. If you can't even keep the open minded moderates on side without being delighted that they're policed into submission, good luck with the backlash from the actual transphobes. It seems like you don't have a winning strategy and I'd recommend more TaraElla in your life.

Side bar.

People get pregnant is grammatically accurate but I disagree that it doesn't suggest women aren't full people. Women and men is a subsection of a higher class of noun. That's like saying you should always write 'dogs chase cars' rather than 'spaniels chase cars' - the more specific class of word (Spaniels) is encased in the broader definition. Spaniels are dogs. So both things are true. I think calling a Spaniel a Spaniel doesn't prevent it from being a dog - but calling saying 'dogs chase cars' lacks specificity in what exactly you're trying to say.
