I would agree - but I think celebrity cases often act like throwing a giant rock into the pond that the rest of us swim in. While we might not be affected directly by the stone hitting the surface, the ever expanding ripples will come down and knock us all of course if we aren't careful.

There are more important things in the world than whether this millionaire and that millionaire can't agree on who hit whom, but the fallout from this case may heavily impact the direction of travel for some time yet. I'm hoping it'll lead to a more centre ground and nuanced push for sexual equality in the legal system and the courts.

Mostly I think it'll lead to shouting - that's why I wanted to get my take on it out fairly speedily :o)
