I would agree with that. I've worked with a lot of people who have had traumatic childhoods and you'd never know. I've also worked with a lot of people who think they've had traumatic childhoods and have no real concept of what it means in practice. There should be some compulsory element of social work which happens to everyone when they hit 18, read some cases, do a home visit, visit a refuge, a little bit of perspective.
