I would say because getting them back and deprogramming them from their hateful thoughts is better than letting them run loose and unchecked. I don’t want to live in a world full of gender extremists, it’s not the best thing for anyone. I firmly believe you can bring anyone back from the brink of nihilism with enough care and attention.
