I would say this was arguably the worst disaster to befall post-war Britain. Entirely preventable, utterly tragic and largely forgotten about in modern schooling. My Dad remembers this being on the news when he was a kid and told me all about it when Dunblane happened. I'll have to listen to Aberfan: Tip Number Seven, but I'll need to be in the right sort of mood to tackle something this horrific. Great article!
